  • PI & OUTCOME ASSESSMENT

Performance Improvement (PI) activities are an important aspect of any industry in the healthcare delivery system. It is important to establish how performance is measured, quality data is collected, and how the data are analyzed.  Outcomes Assessment is an effective tool used to monitor the success of a plan from beginning to end. It is a way to determine if care and services were appropriately prescribed and provided to assist the client in achieving the expected or desired outcome.

  • COMPLIANCE

"Compliance is best described as a formal program designed to prevent fraud and abuse and ensure the organization’s commitment to uphold the laws and regulations governing the day today operation of the provider.” (Kent Center 2001).

An organization not in compliance is an organization at risk.  If you’re not in compliance, you open yourself to litigation and recoupment of funds.  The most common problems associated with compliance are documentation, billing and coding, treatment plans, and medical necessity.

  • ACCREDITATION

Being an accredited organization means that the organization is making a strong statement to the community about an organization’s effort to provide the highest quality of care, treatment and services. It allows the organization to demonstrate their ability to meet regulatory requirements, and thereby ensuring the patients’ safety.

  • DOCUMENTATION STANDARD

Documentation is a critical component of healthcare delivery regardless of the setting. It serves as evidence to the services provided related to the client’s treatment, provides communication among other healthcare professionals, provides data, and substantiates treatment and services provided for insurance claims.
